Bob's Opinion
I'M DONE WITH RACEWAY PARK
Posted On Aug. 07, 2008)
After a season of tolerating week after week of incomptent track preparation that cost area racers thousands and thousands of dollars in repair bills, related stories of certain rude officials, people acting like I don't thave the right to give my personal informed opinions on my OWN website, a general show of disrespect for myself and my father (the one guy who gives this place a shread of legitimacy), and word this week that the most incompetent "official" at the track (yeah, that's you Jensen) was calling around shopping my job out for "his track" next season, I see no reason to lend my time and talents to Raceway Park any longer. While I love Interstate Speedway and cherish my time there since 1991, I believe Raceway Park is a mess that cannot be fixed as long as the idiots being allowed to make decisions (that's still you Jensen) are around. I'm sure Tom Reed and his wife are good people, but they have turned the operation over to someone who is barely qualified to be an assistant to Norm Hamman in tech, let alone prepare a track and run race operations. Racers and fans should never have to pay the price for people who don't know what they are doing. So have fun at Ronnieworld, the land of big holes, rusty fences, hot porta pots, and one official for every two drivers.
Sincerely,
Bob Coney Jr.
