BUTLER COUNTY MOTORPLEX KIDS NIGHT 8-8-08

   Butler County Motorplex had perfect weather for Kids Night which provided bicycles and other prizes sponsored by Butler County Motorplex as well as many of the drivers.
   
   Brian Cudly took the lead in the first of two IMCA Modied heat races. Cudly continued his lead until the final three laps as Tom Svoboda took the lead and the win. Cudly held on for second with Chris Alcorn third and Bruce Hascall was fourth. Jordan Grabouski took the lead from Adrian Hein on lap two in the second heat race. Grabouski continued for the win as Scott Styskal moved up for second place followed by Bob Zoubek and Hein.
   
   Shane Schneider led the first IMCA Hobby Stock heat race from start to finish. Quinten Spragg finished second with Brandon Kresha and Shane Hiatt rounding out the top four. Rich Small took the win in heat number two after taking the lead from Damon Richards on lap number two. Nick Topil, Dusty Poessnecker and Damon Richards made the top four.
   
   National Points leader Dan Rhiley controlled the heat race for the IMCA Sport Compact heat race. Ronald Frank moved up to take second with Ben Simpson third and Mike Simpson fourth.
   
   Max Harder led the distance in the first IMCA Sport Mod heat race. Denny Berghahn Jr. moved up to finish in a close second with Rod Bronson third and Kyle Becker was fourth. Jim Hendricks controlled the second heat race. Nathan Kobus was third and Geoff Olson third. Olson was done for the night as his engine broke during the heat race.
   
   During intermission drawings determined the lucky winners of bicycles which were given away by drivers as well as Butler County Motorplex. There was also a candy toss at the Motorplex as a part of the activities for the Kids Night program.
   
   Mike Simpson took the early lead in the IMCA Sport Compact feature. Dan Rhiley took the lead on lap three and continued for another win. Ronald Frank moved up to finish second with Justin Busboom third and Mike Simpson was fourth.
   
   Damon Richard led the first two laps of the IMCA Hobby Stock A feature before Quinten Spragg took the lead. Shane Hiatt moved into the lead at the end of the race for the win. Rich Small finished second followed by Dusty Poessnecker and Brandon Kresha.
   
   Scott Styskal jumped into the lead as the green flag indicated the start of the IMCA Modified feature. Styskal continued his lead after all of the caution flags that occurred during the race. With only three laps remaining Bob Zoubek managed to take the lead as Styskal went high. Zoubek got the win with Chris Alcorn second, Scott Styskal third and Tom Svoboda fourth
