Mechanics races highlighted a great night of racing on Sunday at Raceway Park. In regular feature action, Reese Coffee took the win in the Outlaw A-Mod division, the seventh different winner in as many races. Coffee had just passed pole sitter Greg Golden for second place when leader Chris Abelson caught the wall in the third turn ending his race. From there it was Coffee and Dirk Kirk pulling away to the checkers while Matt Bonine worked up to third at the finish.
It was win number three for Amanda Baum in the Yankton Automotive Machine Street Stocks. Baum split the leaders on the second lap to take the point and held the position to the checkered flag. Zach Kappler took second in the final laps from Mitch Dowhower, but had nothing for Baum on this night.
In only his second start on the highbanks this season, Dave Hanson led flag to flag to win the Ultra-Lite Performance B-Mod feature. Hanson's win broke Les Lundquist's 2 win streak with Lundquist relegated to a fourth place finish behind Hanson, Jeremie Gibbs, and Chris Weatherton.
The B & B Salvage Hobby Stock division had its first repeat winner of the season when Jake McClure took home the trophy for the second time. McClure held off the charging cars of Karl Brewer and Josh Ruschmann for the win.
In four cylinder action, Dan Loggins took his second straight win in the Adam's Tree Service/Steve's Roofing Hornet division over Jake Walding and Luke Jackson, while Bob Hutcheson won the J & J Fabrication Pro Hornets topping last weeks winner Jeff Girard and Jesse Girard.
Mechanics races rounded out the evening with wins going to Stuart Dyas in the Hornets, Tommy Hoffman in the Hobby Stocks, Alan Fredricksen in the Street Stocks, and Mike Twohig in the Modifieds.
