Park Jefferson Speedway is proud to announce the track will be NASCAR sanctioned for 2009 and beyond. This landmark decision marks the 23 year-old track's commitment to excellence for their drivers and fans. Park Jefferson Speedway, founded in 1986, has become one to the nation's premier dirt tracks. The addition of NASCAR only solidifies this position. We couldn't he happier about a partnership with NASCAR. NASCAR brings a comprehensive sponsorship and huge marketing benefits, not only for the track, but the racers as well. In addition, our drivers will compete for the largest track point fund in this area. Finally, and maybe the most important aspect for the change to NASCAR is the $1,050,000.00 participant insurance for every licensed member. Park Jefferson will now have peace of mind knowing that each member will have significant accident insurance.

We at Park Jefferson would like to invite anyone who may have questions about the NASCAR sanctioning at the speedway, to an informal meeting to be held Thursday, November, 20, 2008 at 6:00pm at the Lewis Bowl Annex. NASCAR's short track director, Bob Duvall, will be there to answer your questions and explain the point fund as well as all aspects of the NASCAR short track program. We will try to have copies of the rules there, but the rules are not going to change from 2008. We hope all with questions can attend as all opinions are valued to us.

We also would like to invite everyone to the 2008 Awards Banquet. It will also be held at the Lewis Bowl Annex on Friday, February 20, 2009. Happy Hour will be from 6:00-7:00 pm, dinner at 7:00 pm, and awards at approximately 8:00pm. Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door.
