BITTNER HOLDS OFF KRESHA FOR FIRST A-FEATURE WIN AT BUTLER

   Jesse Sobbing took the lead from Kyle Harpster on lap number two in the first of two IMCA Sport Mod heat races. Sobbing continued for the win as Nick Topil moved into second place. Bret Sheppard was third and Kyle Becker fourth. Nathan Kobus took the lead in heat number two but on lap three Denny Berghahn Jr. took control and went on to victory. Kevin Kloke controlled second with Jim Hendricks and Brandon Poessnecker rounding out the top four.
   
   Greg Johns led the first IMCA Modified heat race from start to finish. Tom Svoboda was second, Shane Stutzman third and Dan Rhiley fourth. Jason Gaver took the lead in the second heat race. Gaver continued his lead until the final time to the line as Chris Alcorn won by .002 seconds with Gaver in second. James Kleinheksel was third and Mike Stearns fourth. Ross Afrank controlled the third IMCA Mod heat leading from green to checkered. Tracy Harr finished in second followed by Shane Hiatt and Dan Neeman.
   
   Mike Poland won the first IMCA Sport Compact heat race after taking the lead from Jeremy Peckman on lap number two. Larry Cronin took second with Melissa Cronin third and Peckman was fourth. John Sedlachek controlled the second heat race with a win over Garrett Rech. Tyler Leicy was third and Hunter Wergin fourth.
   
   Derek Thiem took the lead in the first of two IMCA Hobby Stock heat races. Thiem continued for the win as Branden Wergin was second, Lee Kracht third and Brady Fernau was fourth. Heat number two found Paul Albracht taking the early lead. Brandon Kresha took the lead on lap three and continued for the win. Dusty Poessnecker finished second, Paul Albracht was third and Tiffany Bittner fourth.
   
   Hunter Wergin took the lead as the IMCA Sport Compact began. Two laps later Garrett Rech took control of the race. John Sedlachek took the lead and continued for the win as Rech finished second. Larry Cronin was third and Justin Hitz fourth.
   
   Denny Gerghahn Jr. took the lead at the start of the IMCA Sport Mod feature but Jesse Sobbing took the lead on lap three and continued for the win. Berghhn was second with Kevin Kloke third and Jim Hendricks fourth. The points battle is very close in this division as Denny Berghahn Jr. was one point out of first place and now is one point ahead of Jim Hendricks who is in second place. Next Friday will tell the final story.
   
   Derek Thiem grabbed the lead in the IMCA Hobby Stock feature but lost control after four laps and spun out. Tiffany Bittner was the leader as the race resumed. Tiffany continued her lead and got her first ever A-feature win. Brandon Kresha moved up to finish .559 seconds behind Bittner to take second. With Branden Wergin third and Lee Kracht was fourth.
   
   Jason Gaver grabbed the lead in the IMCA Modified A-feature. Gaver continued to lead until lap eleven when Tom Svoboda took control of the race. Svoboda continued for the win with Gaver in second. Greg Johns finished third and Mike Stearns was fourth.
   
   Three Powder Puff drivers braved the track in the Sport Compact division. Jessica Stoakes led the entire race for the win.
